Cached radio/dense-gas velocity compatibility — one fixed regional marker

Cached radio/dense-gas velocity compatibility — one fixed regional marker

13 October 2026. A distinct source-specific comparison within the accepted multi-survey program. The previous projected result found known maser 330.878-0.367 12.520 arcsec from HIGALBM330.8814-0.3656 but 17.501 arcsec from its best infrared point. It therefore does not support that point at 1 arcsec. This unit asks a different question: whether the nearby radio gas is compatible in reported velocity with the fixed dense-gas record AG1532. A contradiction would weaken regional attribution; compatibility would add conditional gas context, never identify the selected star or establish physical clump membership.

Fixed cases, estimand and consumption

Primary is exactly one case: HIGALBM330.8814-0.3656, AG1532 and native radio ordinal VIII/96/catalog.dat:000307. No substitute molecular row or maser is selected after readout. The same other two original cases/records are retained as secondary context (AG3005, AG3227); their nearest markers are already known to be 103.458 and 79.066 arcsec from their clump centres. They are not verified unrelated controls and cannot become an expanded primary. Preserve all native molecular rows within 30 arcsec of each centre, every fixed-ID instance and all original source alternatives. Duplicate exact fixed IDs stop identity processing rather than arbitrarily choosing a velocity component.

The primary binary descriptive statistic is whether the registered two dense- gas bands and the historical maser range have a strictly positive common intersection at zero shift. Pairwise overlaps alone are insufficient. Success requires an eligible primary record and a positive common interval; no compatible band yields false, while missing/invalid fits, geometry or a numerical boundary yield unknown/null, not a physical negative. The sole primary denominator is one, explicitly selected after the earlier geometry, not three or a population rate.

This is retrospective, consumed source evidence: case selection, native radio measurements, chemistry references and model-input line widths have already been inspected. The new comparison rule is frozen before this join/readout; no fresh representative held-out physical truth or untouched observations are claimed. No classifier, label, representation, score, review budget or original 19,328-ID/19,066-unknown ledger is changed. Neither this unit nor the previous radio failure changes the old 0/3 Spitzer, 3/27 cadence or 333/800 gates.

Measurement and uncertainty contract

Use only hash-bound original cached CSV cache/n1/malt90_rathborne2016.csv and the verified original MMB catalogue/records. Keep every literal native field, string identifier and source-row ordinal. VizieR recno is not an independent physical identity. Parse only the selected/nearby molecular measurements; no population reclassification, N20 fit or original archival experiment is rerun.

Choose N2H+ and H13CO+ before readout. Require native detection Y, respectively NG=3 (resolved hyperfine fit) and NG=1 (single Gaussian), finite velocity, positive width and finite nonnegative quoted velocity/width errors. Retain rounded zero quoted errors explicitly; they are not exact physical errors. Keep missing/bad fields and fit/detection reasons. Other modes remain contextual native data, never silently accepted. No post-read choice of a more favourable tracer. In particular, three N2H+ hyperfine components are not three gas clouds.

For each accepted tracer, define a descriptive band centred on its reported Vlsr, with halfwidth 0.5*FWHM + 3*e_Vlsr + 1.5*e_FWHM + 0.06 km/s. The width term describes gas spread, while the linear error addition avoids assuming error independence. The 0.06 padding represents half the reported 0.11-km/s MALT90 channel plus 0.005 rounding allowance. Compare to the MMB reported [VL-0.14, VH+0.14] km/s range: half a 0.18-km/s channel plus 0.05 native rounding allowance. Exact raw limits and MX/SC peaks remain available. These are declared conventions, not validated confidence/error bounds. Masers can be displaced and variable; reported min/max span historical epochs.

Keep primary zero shift. Show secondary shifts -1, 0 and +1 km/s applied only to the radio band; these are arbitrary declared calibration-sensitivity scenarios, not estimated offsets or guaranteed systematic bounds. All three intervals must share overlap. Absolute signed overlap <=1e-10 km/s is numerically indeterminate. Independent arithmetic must agree within1e-9 km/s. The literal published velocity comparison does not reconstruct Doppler/LSR zero points, rest-frequency/epoch conventions or validate cross-survey calibration. No stellar velocity exists in these inputs. Even robust conditional compatibility cannot establish infrared-emitter ownership, distance, youth, membership or birth. The 30-arcsec contextual radius and 38-arcsec molecular beam are not clump boundaries.

Verification, resources and stopping

Commit registration, protocol, source code and synthetic controls before native line readout. Controls exercise hyperfine-mode semantics, overlapping/disjoint and pairwise-only intervals, missing fields, rounded zero errors and RA wrap. Worker uses native CSV and floating-point interval geometry. Independent checker imports no worker: raw CSV fields, original fixed-width maser bytes, Decimal interval arithmetic and Astropy angular geometry reconstruct retained records, all six line assessments and nine shift scenarios. Bind complete input/output bytes and terminal resource receipts. Report missing inputs without replacement.

Offline only: no network observations, failed-route retry, image/cube acquisition, cloud compute, model fit or other-process cancellation. One CPU, no GPU, at most 30 minutes cumulative; controls/readout/check stages each <=1 MiB, <=600 seconds, <=256 MiB sampled RSS and a 5 GiB disk reserve. Full code/receipt/report packet <=4 MiB. Keep original observations, all earlier stops and the unmerged archive. Stop after one independently verified report and coherent Git snapshots. The full detector goal stays active/unmet. No automatic successor is authorized.

Source definitions consulted before this readout

Rathborne et al., sections 3–4 describes dust-peak spectra, angular/spectral resolution, hyperfine fitting and catalogue velocity/error fields. NG=3 represents the hyperfine model; NG=2 represents combined unconstrained profiles. The beam and selected dense-gas population limit physical interpretation. No spectra are fitted in this unit.

MMB III, sections 2–3 reports channel spacing and the tabulated extrema across epochs. Official native MMB field contract defines literal velocity fields and coordinates. All current source limits and unknowns remain distinct from a measured physical star classification.
